Thomas began his career in 1988 as a hardware and software developer at Philips and Messer Griesheim before moving into the financial sector in 1994. He has more than 30 years of experience in the development and operation of systems for electronic payment transactions.

During this time, he held various positions. At Gesellschaft für Zahlungssysteme (GZS), he was technically responsible for the introduction of VISA processing and the introduction of the euro. This was followed by positions as Head of IT at TeleCash GmbH & Co. KG and as Managing Director of First Data Deutschland GmbH. He played a key role in the merger of these two companies and the establishment of the e-money institute, now First Data GmbH, of which he was Managing Director and CTO until 2023.

Thomas supports BO1 AG in software development and contributes his experience and extensive knowledge as an IT and payment transaction expert.
